About Me
I enjoy working as a women’s health nurse practitioner because I am passionate about supporting and empowering women with their health care decisions. I also love that my role allows me to care for patients throughout their lifespan. In my role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I offer well-woman visits and treat issues such as abnormal bleeding, painful periods and infections. I also provide prenatal care and contraceptive care, including IUD and Nexplanon insertions.
My patients can expect that I will work collaboratively with them to create individualized care plans tailored to their specific needs and values. I want my patients to feel comfortable communicating their issues and concerns, and I prioritize developing trusting relationships with everyone who comes to see me.
Ohio State has always gone above and beyond for patients and their families, and I am thrilled to be part of this world-renowned organization. In addition, I have always admired Ohio State for its exceptional reputation for research. I am excited for the opportunity to utilize cutting-edge advancements to help patients with complicated conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband and two kids. I enjoy hiking, traveling and crafting.

Friendly and answered all my questions
I enjoyed meeting with Emily. She is my 2nd new provider in as many years, since my longtime provider retired and the new one I had left year moved on to a new opportunity. She already knew that coming in, and we shared a laugh at being old enough to have longtime providers retiring (also happened with my primary care last year). She listened very well and as I am in perimenopause and it has been several months since my last menstrual period, explained what would be normal things I might experience as I go into menopause and what would be concerning things to come see her for.
I was nervous when my old obgyn retired because I liked her a lot. However Emily was wonderful! She had obviously read my file before my appointment and knew exactly where I was which was really nice.
The care provider that I had was excellent and I would recommend her to friends/family. She was extremely knowledgeable and was excellent at ensuring that I was comfortable during my entire appointment. She answered all of my questions and had an exceptional personality that made it easy for me to discuss my concerns with.
Considerate and knowledgeable
My NP was amazing - explained everything in great detail and was so supportive!
First time seeing CNP for Pap smear/pelvic exam. Emily did great!
The last time I saw my care provider and expressed concerns, I didn't feel like she listened to me. I had to do a lot of advocating for myself and research on my own to find a specialist to help the care I needed and deserved. At my next appointment with her, she told me there has been a specialist at the office this whole time. I felt very let down and it furthered my disappointment in my care provider.
She explained things very well
They gave me good care and were punctual at the medical appointment.
Excellent practitioner! Listened; correctly identified skin condition which previous dermatologist did not (verified with second opinion dermatologist); provided excellent care. I will definitely return to this person and this clinic for any follow-up care.
Also very friendly and understanding.
This was the first time visiting this provider - very friendly and seemed to care about her patients. Per provider retired.

Emily had prepared for my visit since she isnt my normal doctor. She was very knowledgeable about all my medical history. She was extremely pleasant, kind and compassionate.
