I became a physician because I am passionate about using my skills to improve each patient’s quality of life. As a urologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in outpatient urology. I regularly perform benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) procedures and treat conditions such as scrotal disorders, erectile dysfunction and kidney stones.
The well-being of a patient is always my first priority. My patients trust me to deliver a customized approach based on their particular medical issues and preferences. There are many treatment options available for urologic conditions, and the decision to proceed with a procedure or surgery should be tailored to each patient.?
After years in private practice, I chose to transition to an academic medical center because I was excited about the opportunity to advance medical students’ education in urology. Choosing The Ohio State University was easy. I was a student here myself and know the positive impact this institution has on both students and the community. I now serve as the clerkship director for the Department of Urology and I am committed to improving access to urology as a surgical subspecialty for students.
When I’m not working, I enjoy cheering on the Buckeyes! I also like hiking and running.

He answered questions and gave me literature that I needed.
Barely looked at my issue seemed to be in a rush, and didn't really care about what I was trying to say. I've never dealt with this before, and it just seemed like it was routine to him and Like I was wasting his time by being in his office. I had more questions to get answered, but I felt rushed and was not able to ask the Questions that I had about my condition

I had two appointments on the day in question. The first was imaging with contrast, and I had to drink a tremendous amount of water before enduring the procedure. The second was a cystoscope, and the doctor himself was outstanding, but the room wasn't furnished adequately for the doctors needs.

He worked quickly and efficiently, explaining everything along the way. I have had minimal pain or discomfort since the procedure which suggests to me that he did a good job, carefully and skillfully.
Dr. Was very informative and efficient. Made me feel very relaxed and was able to give me great step by step feedback on what he was doing. Also asking some general personal questions about myself and offered some personal info on himself which made me feel welcome and taken care of.
Dr. Springer is a great provider, feel very secure in knowing that he is monitoring my prostate issues and will inform me of medications, treatments etc as my conditions warrants it (will give me options to ensure my future health).

Dr Springer listened to everything I had to say and was respectful to me during my appointment. He had to order several tests, his scheduler was able to get me in same day for those tests at a different location. He personally called me when those results came back the same day and while the news we got wasn't great, he did the best he could to be reassuring. His scheduler, Megan, was also very kind and advocated for me.
