About Me
I’m a gastroenterologist who focuses on esophageal, neurogastroenterology and motility disorders at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I honestly consider talking to and taking care of patients the best part of my job. With each patient, I do everything to earn their trust and show them that I’m a true advocate during their time in the health care system.
At the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, I’m the director of the GI Motility Lab and part of the team that’s developing an esophageal center at Outpatient Care New Albany. In addition, I play an active role in the education of all gastroenterology fellows by teaching them about the management of esophageal disorders and motility disorders. I also enjoy mentoring medical students, residents and fellows who focus on esophageal and gastric motor disorders.
My research interests include supra-esophageal reflux disease, reflux disease, esophageal disorders in lung transplant patients, eosinophilic esophagitis and gastroparesis. Since coming to the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, I’ve had a couple of oral presentations, several abstracts and manuscripts on these topics, in addition to presenting at national meetings and moderated sessions.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy traveling and spending time with family.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
