  • Family Medicine
  • Physician What's this? A physician, or doctor, is extensively trained to diagnose and treat complex medical problems. Often, physicians focus their practice on certain disease categories, treatment methods or patient types. Physicians can diagnose and treat illness, prescribe medication, offer medical consultation and advice, perform surgery and more.

About Me

As a family medicine physician, my approach to patient care is centered on the belief that we treat patients, not just numbers or lab results. My goal is to educate and positively influence the health of my patients by taking the time to really listen while providing any input I can. I decided to specialize in family medicine because I find the opportunity to care for my entire community very rewarding. It’s fun to see parents and children together, and to better understand their lives and the details which impact not just their health but their overall wellbeing.

I enjoy working at an academic medical center like The Ohio State University because of the wide range of opportunities and resources available in clinical care, medical education and research. Once I am more established in my practice, I hope to expand my career into medical student and resident education.

In my free time, I follow a number of sports including Ohio State football, basketball, soccer, tennis and baseball. I’m a soccer enthusiast, Columbus Crew and Seattle Mariner fan, and recreational tennis player. I also love to bike, play bridge and eat ice cream. My wife Tracy and I recently moved to the Worthington area and enjoy getting out together and exploring the community. We also love spending time outdoors and hiking with our rescue dogs, Oliver and Waldo.

He was excellent. My first time seeing him (my dr. retired) but I will be back. He was very down to earth, nice, easy to talk to. Explained things/options thoroughly and listened to my concerns. Couldn't have been better. Already recommended my husband go see him (he needs a dr.).

All good

This was my first visit to Dr. Jungwirth. I liked the way he brought himself up to date on my health issues and history, and ordered a complete set of bloodwork to have a good starting set of data.

Dr. Jungwirth is very professional, polite, friendly and has a great personality. He was courteous and caring. Just what I am looking for in a doctor.

Really nice guy -- he didn't insist that I sit on the exam table, but examined me on my level. Very personable and knowledgeable; and he was able to make an upcoming procedure (nasal endoscopy (yechh)) understandable and not as frightening.

He took all the time I needed to answer all my questions
