About Me

As a family medicine physician, my approach to patient care is centered on treating patients as individuals and individualizing treatment strategies and goals in balance with scientific evidence and expertise. My goal is to educate and positively influence the health of my patients by taking the time to really listen while providing open and honest feedback. I thrive on thorough discussion and ongoing communication as it leads to achieving long-term health goals with better outcomes.

My focus within primary care are metabolic diseases including high blood pressure, diabetes care, fatty liver disease, heart disease and high cholesterol. We always focus on maximizing lifestyle benefits and I work with my patients on sustainable healthy outcomes. I collaborate with patients using medication as indicated to supplement positive life changes

In my free time, I follow a number of sports including Ohio State football, basketball, soccer, tennis and baseball. I’m a soccer enthusiast, Columbus Crew and Seattle Mariner fan, and recreational tennis player. I also love to bike and play bridge. My wife, son and I live in the Worthington area and enjoy getting out together and exploring our community. We also love spending time outdoors riding bikes and hiking with our two rescue dogs.

Dr. Jungwirth was awesome and spent 2 hours with me. He had no other patients waiting. He asked lots of questions and answered many questions. Very thorough reading of My Chart. The waiting time for him was filled with tests and a book I'm reading. I was glad to relax.

(This was my first time visit with this provider as I am new to this practice). He took a lot of time getting to know me and understand my background. I appreciated how much time he took.
