About Me

As a family medicine physician, I have a special interest in preventative healthcare, chronic disease management, women’s health and mental health. I find joy in my work, as I’m able to provide all these types of care to my patients on a regular basis.

I believe that optimal health is reached by addressing a patient’s medical condition as well as his or her mental health and social situation. Ohio State is an institution that supports this through providing well rounded healthcare including psychology and psychiatry in addition to excellent care managers and social workers. It’s great being part of a medical center that provides high quality integrated care to its patients and allows me to train medical students and residents to do the same.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising and traveling.

    Dr. Westphal is the best.

    No problems

She spoke at my "level" and with the same compassion and care that a friend would give me. I have already recommended her to a friend of mine. I don't "dread" going to see Dr. Westphal. She lifts me up and I leave her office on a positive note.

Dr. Westphal is the best family doctor I have ever had. She listens and explain everything in detail what going on with me and test that she is conducting with OSO concerning my health issue you need 10 more doctors male or female just like her. Makes you feel comfortable and takes her time with you. Not in and out like cattle. Thank you.

The Doctor is awesome I followed her from best previous practice because she is compassionate, caring, and always concerned for her patients. She listens to what you say and will provide the best care. I have seen some of the other doctors there when she was out and they were just as good. They also listened to my concern and responded to it. The Doctors and staff st this location are awesome. I would not want any other.
