About Me
In my role as a certified nurse practitioner here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in treating patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions. Helping people improve their spinal health is a career-long passion of mine. I worked as a physical therapist for many years before transitioning to nursing.
The breadth of my education and experience allows me to create customized care plans that are specific to each patient’s health needs. Patients can rely on me as a partner as we work to improve their mobility and overall quality of life. My research has been focused on strategies to reduce lower back pain and I was involved in a National Institutes of Health-funded study on lumbar multifidus retraining methods.
I’m proud to be part of the team at Ohio State. The culture is one of continued excellence, and the commitment to evidence-based practice ensures our patients always receive the most innovative care possible.
In my role, it’s a privilege to help guide the next generation of health care providers. I’ve served as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students, and I’ve been a mentor in Ohio State’s Young Professionals program. I also mentored medical students during Ohio State-led volunteer medical trips to Honduras in 2018 and 2022.
When I’m not working, I love walking, hiking and fishing with my family and friends. I also enjoy gardening and ringing in the hand bell choir at my church.

I've been working with Jennifer for over a year now. Our interactions have ALWAYS BEEN A PLEASURE. I think she gets me and I sincerely appreciate her professionalism, knowledge and recommendations. I have the utmost respect for Jennifer.

They do not understand the severity of my pain, and have no real answers for helping me my problems!

I appreciated how she explained my condition, she also explained due to my injuries though they were better I needed more therapy, I felt I could use more yet feeling stressed at times I stopped my treatments so she kindly told me why & how she felt I needed the treatment and since I wasn't ready for more she showed me the exercises that would help me and I appreciated her kindness to do so, I feel the stress & pain yet the exercise's are helpful, I thank her for her opinion that I could use therapy yet not being forceful she explained my condition well.

When I tried to explain how my back was feeling post operative - she did not listen well or respond back - I told her the one incision, to the left of my spinal to the left of my spinal column, hurts deep inside - I also have been having chills so I thought I might have an infection.
