About Me
I specialize in allergy and immunology care in my role as a certified nurse practitioner at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I’m passionate about providing the best care possible to my patients and helping them to optimize their quality of life.
I regularly treat patients with environmental, food and medication allergies, and help patients manage issues such as eczema, eosinophilic esophagitis, asthma and sinusitis. I also conduct allergy and breathing tests.
At the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, we believe in creating customized treatment plans that serve each patient’s individualized needs and provide them relief from their allergies. I work with patients to determine which allergy testing may be useful for their unique conditions, and figure out how we can use medications or non-medication therapies to improve their symptoms.
The faculty and staff at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center are highly committed to providing exceptional patient care and to innovative research. I’m proud to be part of the team.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I like hiking and kayaking, and attending sporting events around central Ohio.

Jennifer was very thorough in my case history. The allergy testing she ordered revealed what specifically I was allergic to. With her specialization of ENT work, she provided me a strategy to better use the medication (SMART Therapy) that my PCP had prescribed. I have been taking that advice and have been able to successfully reduce the medication I am taking.
Treated me kindly and made sure I was okay even when I had a dizzy spell due to fear of needles
She was so nice and took time to answer all my questions
Very informative
Good
Answered my questions and referred me to see a doctor to make sure that my issue was addressed
Very knowledgeable, in depth and thorough questioning
She was friendly, she was clear, but she downplayed a concern I had. I know it isn't normal, because I've literally never met another person who has a semi-similar reaction as my body does to this normal every day thing. I would have liked a more in-depth explanation of what makes it "normal" or why there is so little to help mediate the effects of. She almost tried to make it to easy to understand, which doesn't help me feel better or understand it more. Also, it took me asking about an OTC that works for me versus the one she referenced multiple times to find that the one I take can have negative side effects. I feel like that should have been addressed as soon as it's known I take that OTC especially because I take it for the reason I was seeing her. It then took my asking more questions to find I can take a Rx does of the other OTC, but no Rx was called in.

Jennifer Henning was awesome! After looking over my medical records and asking me even more questions, she had me take a breathing test in the office. After sharing my results with me, she knew immediately the cause of my breathing difficulties and referred me to an ENT. She's amazing!!
Care provider ordered blood work and tests in order to properly treat condition.
