About Me
As an acute care surgeon at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I care for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments. I chose this field because I am passionate about helping people recover from trauma or emergency surgery, and my patients can expect evidence-based medicine tailored to their specific needs.
I serve as the director of Emergency General Surgery and as associate medical director of the operating room at University Hospital. My practice involves performing emergency and elective general surgeries, with an emphasis on abdominal procedures. I also provide surgical critical care, including for patients who have sustained multiple traumas.
My role includes helping to educate the next generation of physicians. I am a clinical professor of Surgery and serve as program director of the Acute Care Surgery Fellowship Program in the Ohio State University College of Medicine. I enjoy teaching and was honored with an Excellence in Teaching Award from the Department of Emergency Medicine in the College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Knight Davis has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
