I am a comprehensive ophthalmologist, with specialized expertise in anterior segment disorders, cataract surgery and diabetic care. I offer many other services, ranging from vision exams to glaucoma treatment.

Anterior segment refers to an area in the front part of the eye. This includes the cornea, or clear outermost layer of the eye, and the lens, both of which help you to focus. It also includes the iris, or colored part of the eye.

The types of eye conditions that I treat include cataracts, corneal abrasions and dry eye. I treat many other corneal and anterior segment disorders and diseases as well.

I treat every patient as an individual, listening carefully to their concerns. It's also important to me to educate patients about vision and eye health, as well as their specific eye conditions.

Working at Ohio State offers many benefits, including the chance to collaborate with gifted colleagues. Each of our diverse specialists adds valuable expertise to our practice. This contributes to better care for our patients.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/28/17, Dr. Meier has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
