About Me

I am a dermatologist at Ohio State and I’m board certified in both dermatology and gynecology. I specialize in treating dermatologic disease in pregnancy, vulvar diseases and dermatologic surgery. I decided to pursue dermatology because I found in my general OB/GYN practice that many women were undertreated for skin disease in pregnancy. I also realized that women were inadequately treated for disabling vulvar diseases that had a negative impact on their lives.

In regard to patient care, I believe in developing collaborative relationships with patients where we work together as a team to create a treatment plan.

Working at Ohio State means I have the opportunity to collaborate with physicians in other specialties who have unique clinical and research interests. I also love teaching future physicians and dermatologists.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son and dog. I also enjoy personal training, traveling, volunteering at my son’s school library, playing the violin and playing the piano.

Dr. Tyler is not my PCP, but dermatologist. I only see her once a year unless I have a break out related to my skin condition. I had a massive break out and I was able to get an appointment within a week. I was given a shot "to calm things down," and a prescription medication to apply topically. Most of my problem has cleared.
