About Me

As a vascular surgeon at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in the treatment and prevention of all vascular diseases. I am board certified in both surgery and vascular surgery and I perform endovascular, as well as minimally invasive procedures. I treat patients with aortic aneurysms, thoracic outlet syndrome and carotid disease, among other vascular conditions.

Some of my research interests include stem cell drug delivery, tissue engineering and outcomes research. As a funded investigator for over 25 years, I investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying vascular disease. My goal is to identify and create new therapeutic targets to eventually use to improve patient care.

I enjoy working at an academic medical center like Ohio State because of the various opportunities that are available in research, education and patient care.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/26/2018, Dr. Kent has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
