About Me

I am a nurse practitioner in the Division of Palliative Medicine at The James. I received my master’s degree n nursing from Marshall University and am currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice program at The Ohio State University. I have been working at the OSUCCC – James since 2007, where I treat all types of cancer. Palliative medicine is a holistic approach to health care that provides aggressive symptom management and goals-of-care conversations for cancer patients and their families.

I am honored to be a part of their cancer journey and take pride when we succeed in helping a patient, whether it’s through reducing stress, managing pain and symptoms, improving sleep or discovering new ways to manage or cope with social situations challenging their peace of mind. It’s so rewarding to hear a patient say that the treatment we tried worked.

I also appreciate the opportunity to work daily with an amazing interdisciplinary team of social workers, pharmacists, psychosocial oncologists, physical therapists and others to manage the many challenges of cancer. The James has a great respect for holistic patient and family care, and it really shows in the access to education and evidence-based information that we’re able to provide patients.
