About Me

As a clinical psychologist, I specialize in providing evidence-based psychotherapy to adults with a wide range of presenting problems, which in turn empowers them to improve their quality of life. My experience at medical centers working alongside many colleagues from different disciplines shaped my interest in providing holistic patient care with interdisciplinary teams.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I’m a co-lead psychologist for the Interdisciplinary Primary Care Pain Team. I’m also a supervisor for the Primary Care Psychology Fellowship at the Ohio State College of Medicine. In these roles, I enjoy mentoring psychology fellows and medical residents as they develop into the next generation of professionals.

My research focuses on sociocultural factors that contribute to health and wellness. To this end, I created a scale to assess microaggressions experienced by women of color faculty. In addition, I have published articles on treating post-traumatic stress disorder and understanding barriers to treatment in underserved populations.

I love working at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center because Ohio State is home for me. As a Buckeye alumna, I’m happy to continue serving Ohio State and surrounding communities.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy experimenting with new recipes, spending time with loved ones, and exploring hiking trails around the Columbus area.
  • Received grants from the American Psychological Association to support my dissertation research, which was aimed at creating a scale for gendered and ethnic microaggressions among women of color
  • Invited to co-lead presentations on acceptance and commitment therapy, primary care behavioral health integration, and best practices for treating chronic pain

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 11/01/2020, Dr. Pandya has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
