About Me

I am board certified in pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. In my role, I regularly treat patients for lung conditions including respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma, and sepsis complications.

In the hospital, I care for critically ill patients in the medical intensive care unit of the hospital (MICU). Many of these patients require specialized post-intensive care after leaving the hospital due to new health challenges or impairments. I continue to monitor these patients in the outpatient clinic by addressing post-hospitalization pulmonary-related needs. I also collaborate with an exceptional multidisciplinary team here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center to promote my patients’ overall physical rehabilitation and recovery. The people at Ohio State make it an incredible place and it’s a privilege to work alongside such devoted colleagues.

I enjoy connecting with my patients on a personal level and learning about their goals, concerns and motivations. My patients can trust that I will work with them to create customized treatment plans that accommodate their unique needs, including virtual follow-ups. Many of our patients come from all over the state and region, and I work to accommodate their post-hospitalization care by utilizing telemedicine and by partnering with local care providers.

My research is focused on strategies to improve critical care and post-intensive care access, delivery and outcomes. I am interested in improving community collaboration and in understanding and addressing rural-urban differences in care.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my wife and children. I enjoy exercising, exploring the outdoors and cheering on the Buckeyes.
