About Me
I became a certified family nurse practitioner because I am passionate about advocating for my patients and empowering them to pursue sustainable habits to achieve their health and wellness goals. My approach to whole-person care emphasizes lifestyle medicine, which includes regular physical activity, restful sleep, balanced meals and stress management practices. I also promote the importance of fostering a supportive community network and avoiding toxic substances to prevent, treat and reverse chronic diseases.
I enjoy connecting with patients of all ages, stages, and backgrounds at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Total Health and Wellness practice. As a primary provider, I provide evidence-based preventive care, including sexual health screenings, Pap smears and pre-exposure prophylaxis (or PrEP) for HIV. I also treat patients for chronic conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, asthma and COPD, and for acute needs such as bacterial and viral infections. In addition, I address issues including anxiety and depression, and offer services to help patients quit smoking.
After several years in social work, I discovered my passion for medicine because of the opportunity to provide more direct care. I appreciate that my job as a nurse practitioner combines what I love about human services and medicine, and that prior experience has positively influenced my approach to patient care. I am focused on creating trusting partnerships with my patients and their families, and they can always trust that I will collaborate with them to find their “recipe” for optimal physical, mental and emotional health.
My role also includes community outreach and training the next generation of providers. I work with students from The Ohio State University College of Nursing on population outreach calls, which involves educating patients and scheduling them for important preventive health care services.

She was very attentive, so very concerned
First Class and KnowledgeableVery Kind
No interest in hearing my concerns. Didn't know anything about my current medical status as a stage 4 cancer patient. Said the reason for my concerns was "cancer treatment wreaks havoc on the body" but I have never had cancer treatment as my condition is not curable.
Great experience.
Took extra time and patiently explained things to be sure I understood. English is not my native language.
My provider was helpful in taking care of me
My provider is excellent and helpful in giving advice and concerned about my health and wellness.
Great bedside manner
The NP ordered blood tests and my bad cholesterol was higher that ideal (105, so not terrible). The followup from the NP indicated that she had not paid attention to what I told her about my diet when I met with her.
She help.
Wonderful personal interactions
Good
Understanding, could see the interest in getting to know me and finding health issues to be addressed.
