About Me
I became a psychologist because I am passionate about helping my patients work through mental and emotional hurdles that are negatively affecting their quality of life. In my role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I treat generalized and social anxiety, depression and trauma-related disorders. I also see patients who are struggling with chronic health problems, grief, relational problems, identity development and phase-of-life challenges.
In addition, I am certified in cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). CPT is an evidence-based type of cognitive behavioral therapy that helps patients by reducing the impact and severity of PTSD symptoms.
My top priority is creating a space to make my patients feel safe. I am committed to fostering an open, trusting and genuine relationship, and treatment is customized based on the patients’ needs, concerns and expressed interests. I integrate a variety of empirically supported and theoretically based techniques to ensure my patients receive the best care possible.
My prior work experience includes time spent working in private practice and for university counseling centers. I am thrilled to return to Ohio State, which is where I completed my pre-doctorial internship. I have always been interested in the brain-body connection, so I am excited to cultivate that interest here at Ohio State.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Wright has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
