About MeAs a psychologist, I specialize in stroke motor intervention, behavioral change and comprehensive behavioral intervention for tics. I work with many adult stroke survivors to aid them in overcoming the emotional and physical challenges that can accompany stroke recovery. In addition to my work in neurorehabilitation, I have also authored several original papers, abstracts, book chapters and review articles.
I believe it is importance to provide treatments that are shown to be the most effective in well-designed research studies. I feel that healthcare is a service, and therefore it is important to listen to each patient and work with him or her to form an individual treatment plan.
I enjoy working at The Ohio State University because of the opportunities to grow through working with others with different expertise. I also value being able to conduct my work on a multidisciplinary care team.
In my free time I enjoy dancing, relaxing with my family and enjoying the outdoors.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 03/26/2018, Dr. Gauthier has reported relationships with the companies or entities listed below. If you have questions about the relationships listed below, please ask the faculty member.
