I am a board-certified internal medicine and pediatrics physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in primary care for patients across the lifespan, including transition care for adolescents and young adults.
My patients can rely on me for high quality, compassionate care and honest communication in every encounter. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of skilled experts to ensure each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs and values.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am passionate about educating and mentoring the next generation of providers. I am an assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

First time with Dr. McGuiness. She listened carefully, and gave thorough explanations for her recommendations. I did not feel rushed. She looked at me when she spoke, And she was very respectful

Very easy to talk to and knowledgeable
This was our first appointment with Dr. McGuiness and it was for newborn weight check/ new patient establishment. She instantly realized that we'd also scheduled a new patient visit with our older daughter for the following week, and she seemed genuinely happy to get to treat both kids. She even asked the nurses to schedule the two of them together. In terms of medical knowledge she was open, kind, and smart. Great experience all around.
