About Me
I chose a career in medicine because I am passionate about helping people achieve their wellness goals and live a healthier life. As an osteopathic physician specializing in family medicine, I regularly see patients for conditions including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, asthma and COPD. I perform well-child checks and procedures such as skin lesion removals and cryotherapy for skin conditions.
My role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center also includes a focus on obstetrics. I provide well-woman exams and Pap smears, contraception counseling, and prenatal and pregnancy care. I perform in-office procedures such as IUD insertions and removals, contraceptive subdermal implant insertions and removals, and neonatal circumcisions.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

First visit w/newly assigned doctor; Dr. Mier. Visit was for follow-up after being seen in an ER for concussion. I can see that she is highly qualified, personable & made me feel at ease. Her style of care is refreshing & I look forward to our future relationship.
