About Me

As a family medicine physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I treat patients with asthma, exercise induced asthma, athletic injuries, diabetes and hypertension. I also specialize in adolescent medicine and pediatrics, travel medicine, preconception care, contraception, medical education and health promotion. I think it’s important for patients to establish a relationship with a family physician they can trust.

I have a special interest in preventive medicine and vaccinations. I strongly promote preventive health with my patients in order to keep them from getting too sick in the first place. I believe that family medicine is the cornerstone of good healthcare. As family medicine physicians, we provide a basic service that everyone needs.

My favorite part about working at Ohio State is the opportunity to work with and teach medical students. It’s also a great location with good benefits.

When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, cooking and spending time with my children.

My wife and I trust him. Dr. Farrell is the one doctor who got my wife the help she needed.

very good, well informed, a very good listener and had time to explain in detail all health issues.

Dr. Ferrell, while not stating anything specifically in words, presented a very condescending tone, through his countenance and expression communicating that I should follow his recommendation blindly without hesitation or I'm an idiot. He wasn't interested in why I had reservations, or explaining why he thought his suggestion was so important.

Dr. Farrell amazed me. This was my first appointment and had dropped numerous records/test results. He came into the appointment having read them - I can't remember the last time that happened. Dr. Farrell represents The OSU Health System well.

Very good doctor - No connection to provider - No personality - All business - Which make me feel like another patient not a person connected to their doctor. But I am not there for a social visit.

Dr. Farrell is the best! He listens to what I (or my husband) have to say, and follows thru.
