About MeAs a faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, my professional interests include seeing patients for their primary healthcare needs and teaching the next generation of family physicians.
What I find the most rewarding about my job is caring for children and young adults and following patients throughout their lives from birth to old age. I have a passion for preventive medicine, including recommended vaccinations and cancer screenings.
I was born and raised in the Columbus, Ohio area. I attended the University of Notre Dame for my undergraduate degree, and the Ohio State University College of Medicine for my medical doctorate. I also completed my training through the Riverside Methodist Hospital Family Medicine Residency program. I currently live in New Albany, Ohio with my wife and three small children.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 03/28/2017, Dr. Farrell has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
