As an urologist, I specialize in endourology, which means I have special expertise in navigating inside the kidneys, ureter and bladder using endoscopic optical instruments and other tools. The most common conditions I treat include kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), urinary obstruction, renal obstruction and staghorn kidney.
I enjoy working with my patients to help them understand their situation and develop an individualized treatment plan. My goal is to get them back to their normal as soon as possible.
I’m proud of our integrated team of providers at The Ohio State University. We perform and improve upon therapies and procedures that treat disease while minimizing pain and incisions. If a patient requires surgery, I will try to find ways to minimize postoperative pain and avoid opioid use.
In my spare time, I enjoy jogging, cycling and spending time with my infant.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 12/20/2018, Dr. Garcia-Gil has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
