Biography
As a family physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in ambulatory care and have a particular interest in health promotion and preventive medicine.
I am proud to be a family physician. I enjoy developing long-term relationships with my patients and strive to provide personalized health care.
I received my undergraduate and medical education here at The Ohio State University and appreciate the opportunity to teach the next generation of physicians who are attending The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two sons.

I am proud to be a family physician in The Ohio State University Department of Family and Community Medicine since 2002. I currently practice at OSU University Health Services. I believe in providing personalized healthcare to my patients. Since 2014, I have served as an expert educator for longitudinal groups in LSI Part 1 and serve as a faculty advisor to the OSU undergraduate student organization Alpha Epsilon Delta, the health preprofessional honor society, since 2004. My clinical interests include ambulatory care and preventive medicine. I enjoy the opportunity to serve as a family physician in the community where I reside. What I enjoy most about my career is the opportunity to participate in education as a faculty member of the Department of Family and Community Medicine and patient care as a family physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

I appreciated that my doctor was candid in terms of the time delays that happened prior to the appointment. I also felt heard and that I was in control of next steps in my care, such as whether I wanted to be referred to a specialist on a minor issue.

I've seen Dr Alexander as my PCP for years. I appreciate that he takes time to actually listen and answer my questions, which is so extremely rare for doctors these days, sadly. He answers all my questions very thoroughly. He always checks then checks again if I have any additional questions. He's also very professional.
Dr. Alexander is an exemplary primary care provider. He consistently goes above and beyond expectations to provide the most efficient, yet compassionate and empathetic, care possible.

I can't say enough about how fabulous Dr. Alexander is! I am a very demanding person and Dr. Alexander has always been very patient with me and navigated my numerous problems and figured out the right path with empathy and understanding. I know I've gone into his office and thought, surely he's going to be frustrated with with this time! But he lets me cry it out and we come up with a solution and I always leave with hope and relief. I'm so grateful to have him as my physician. This past visit, he didn't have an appointment until almost Christmas, but he had his nurse fit me in his schedule the next day because I was having back and neck pain. You don't find doctors like him anymore. He's one of a kind!
