About Me

I am a physician assistant in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The James, where I specialize in reconstructive surgery following breast cancer, sarcoma and melanoma. I’m passionate about my career because I get to put people back together again. In plastic surgery, we follow patients for several months to years and develop strong relationships along the way. I love the continuity of care that we are able to provide, helping patients through these difficult operations that would otherwise leave them feeling incomplete. We restore and make whole those that nature has given but fortune has taken away.

The James is unique from other cancer programs in that plastic surgeons are involved with almost every other surgical discipline at the hospital, from neurosurgery to urology to orthopedics. These multidisciplinary teams are able to offer combination surgeries, so reconstruction can happen the same day as the resections. Our breast cancer center is also fortunate to be located in a dedicated building for breast cancer patients, so they can see their surgical oncologist, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist and reconstructive surgeon all in one convenient place.

My favorite thing about working at The James is the people. I work with the best team and have the best patients. I feel like I am positively impacting patients’ lives both in outcome and quality, and I’m so fortunate to have the opportunity to care for these amazing people. In addition to my work at The James, I’m a member of the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants, as well as an annual participant in Pelotonia since 2010.
