Very professional and through.
The CNP I saw seemed a little uncaring. I felt like since I have a chronic back problem the exacerbation I was experiencing that I shouldn't be there. And also said that I should've seen the CNP that I saw last time. I was having so much pain. I told the receptionist I wanted to get into whoever could see me. They did get me in within one week. Perhaps the CNP I saw that day was not feeling well or just having a bad day. She did refer me to the pain clinic and adjusted my medications.
The Nurse Practitioner stood at the computer across the room from me the entire visit. She looked at the screen and typed the entire time. She very obviously had NOT reviewed my chart before she came into the room. She never looked at me. Never came closer to me. Never performed any type of exam at all. Asked a few questions about my meds. Ordered some labs and told me to see the doctor in a few months. Then she left the room. The visit was a total waste and could have been taken care of with a phone call. She never asked about the pain/numbness in my feet and how it continues to travel up my legs and that standing for too long is getting more difficult.
The doctor was very interested in my condition even though it was kind of out of her specialty. She listened intently then suggested a course of treatment. She then followed up with a phone call a couple of days later to inform me of the progress in my treatment.
Nicole is the best! She shows compassion and general concern for me.
She didn't rush in answering all my questions and encouraged me to message her with any other questions or concerns.
