I’m a pathologist specializing in brain cancers, autoimmune diseases of the nervous system and central nervous system diseases. I also serve as an associate professor at The Ohio State University. I received my medical training from the University of Southern California and completed my residency at Creighton Area Health Services.

I’ve been published in numerous journals, including Neuro-Oncology. My research interests are in cell cycle and apoptosis regulators as targets for cancer chemotherapy. My lab studies cell signaling in tumor angiogenesis to create more targeted therapies. I’m also interested in ubiquitin-dependent regulation of protein stability.

Working at the OSUCCC – James gives us access to current technology and research, so we can create the best treatment possible for our patients. Cancer is different in each person, and we work to create individualized care plans that address the differences in each person’s condition. I love working in a comprehensive care center that combines cancer research with treatment to create better outcomes.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/28/17, Dr. Lehman has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
