About Me
My focus is on caring for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). I also specialize in pulmonary rehabilitation for all patients who suffer from lung disease.
I believe in providing specialized, state-of-the-art and compassionate care to individuals with lung problems. Educating my patients is important to me. I feel very strongly about providing them an opportunity to participate fully in their own care.
Helping individuals make good decisions about their health is fundamental. My goal is to work together to achieve the best quality of life possible for them. Being able to do this makes me passionate about my career.
I love working at Ohio State. As the only academic medical center in central Ohio, we have the opportunity to provide world-class medical care, which includes the latest innovations.
When I'm not working, I like to relax with my family. I also enjoy sports. I'm an Ohio State football fan. As an undergraduate, I was captain of the Brown University tennis team.

Dr. Diaz seems to be a physician at the peak of his profession. I have total confidence in his care giving.
My experience with every medical care office at ISU Wexner Medical Center facilities over the last thirty-nine years have been the very best and is the reason I stayed in Columbus after I retired twelve years ago!
The BEST - Listens very well and shows concern.

We very able to talk about health issue but also were able joke about things, I left smiling.
He was very wonderful, caring, concerned for my health.
Had a meeting about my past surgeries and had me take a, 2D echo with contrast. Exercise test knowing they could not do the surgery because I had surgery in or about 1985 which he said I could not have the lung reduction because I had this type of surgery. 35 years ago he told me.
Helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, lucid.
He explained that we were going wait another 6 mo. and get CAT scan and see where was at. So I guess I'll go with that.

It was a good experience. Dr. Diaz was very informative and professional. He followed up with me a couple of times to see how I was doing which is very rare in my opinion
1st time I have seen him & was impressed, relieved & happy that he seemed interested in my condition, i.e., I wasn't just a body passing through.

NOT CONDESCENDING! Friendly, direct, questioning. This was my first visit on a referral.
Dr. Diaz is the most knowledgeable talented doctors by whom I have ever been treated. When my wife, my son and I first met him in his office we were struck by how gentle his eyes over his mask were and how thoughtful with his words regarding my illness and option. He saw what was missed by others because he asked questions others did not. I could not think more highly of his acumen talents and skill.
Very professional
I have never had a bad experience and consider every physician taking care of me to be exceptional in their field! The same goes with physical therapists in the arthritis pool and all personnel I have interacted with!
