About Me

My focus is on caring for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). I also specialize in pulmonary rehabilitation for all patients who suffer from lung disease.

I believe in providing specialized, state-of-the-art and compassionate care to individuals with lung problems. Educating my patients is important to me. I feel very strongly about providing them an opportunity to participate fully in their own care.

Helping individuals make good decisions about their health is fundamental. My goal is to work together to achieve the best quality of life possible for them. Being able to do this makes me passionate about my career.

I love working at Ohio State. As the only academic medical center in central Ohio, we have the opportunity to provide world-class medical care, which includes the latest innovations.

When I'm not working, I like to relax with my family. I also enjoy sports. I'm an Ohio State football fan. As an undergraduate, I was captain of the Brown University tennis team.

Visit was excellent as usual. I didn't phone before the visit but I did have a question for Dr Diaz which I put on "My Chart". I was very pleasantly surprised with the promptness with which Dr. Diaz responded. He also responded very quickly when I responded to him.

Dr. Diaz was so easy to ask questions of and answered all questions. His personality makes one feel very comfortable and he seems to really know his "stuff." I had been seen by another pulmonologist for 8 wks. and nothing was improving. Dr. Diaz is looking at my health problems from completely different angle and said "we will get to the bottom of this."

He knows my situation and is very helpful. He works with me to control my asthma. He and his staff respond quickly to phone calls.
