About Me

As a plastic surgeon at the OSUCCC–James, I treat patients with breast cancer. I specialize in performing microsurgeries, including breast reconstruction and lymphedema surgery. I’m passionate about helping each patient regain a sense of normalcy after battling cancer.

I’m proud to be part of such a devoted and skilled multidisciplinary team here at The James. We have an integrative approach to cancer care that includes treating the disease with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and other modalities. At the same time, we incorporate evidence-based therapies to support each patient’s quality of life.

I have extensive experience as a researcher. My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Annals of Plastic Surgery and British Journal of Neurosurgery, and I have presented my research before respected medical groups in the United States and the United Kingdom.

I did not care for the survey given in the waiting room to fill out. It made things feel far less personal. The PA (or NP) who saw me before the doctor told me she was a floater, so I understand that the intake survey was probably due to not having consistent staff. However, it was basic questions that any skilled clinician should have been able to ask and document. She stood in the room and just read over what I wrote- it was a little awkward and very impersonal. A better and more personal experience could have been achieved if she had a template to ask me the questions and she documented my answers.
