About Me
As a family medicine physician, I love taking care of patients of all ages and from all walks of life. I enjoy working with patients and families to optimize their health by providing preventive care and managing illness. I also have a special interest in women’s health, including contraception management. I understand that each patient is unique, and believe in tailoring evidence-based medicine to fit individualized care plans. Because of this, I always encourage my patients to ask questions and take an active role in understanding their health care.
In my free time, I love rock climbing, hiking, gardening, traveling and exploring more of Columbus.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/01/2020, Dr. Halvorsen has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
