I’m passionate about helping children and adolescents with sleep and mood disorders.

As a doctor, I believe in helping patients as much as I can with what they are struggling with.

I have more than 30 years of experience and practice in psychiatry, child psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and pediatrics.

I have authored or co-authored more than 60 articles, 14 book chapters and two books. I’ve been published in the areas of the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with bipolar disorders, sleep disorders and depression.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and watching movies. I also train in Pilates and Krav Maga, a self-defense practice.

Industry Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/25/2016, Dr. Kowatch has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
