About Me

As a gastroenterologist, I’m passionate about finding solutions that will ease my patients’ discomfort and improve their quality of life. I specialize in caring for patients with GI tract disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), abdominal pain, constipation and celiac disease. I also treat inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

My colleagues in the Gastroenterology Division at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are highly skilled and supportive and I’m proud to be part of the team. The diversity of expertise is unparalleled here at Ohio State, involving people from different backgrounds, and it’s a privilege to work alongside and learn from such exceptional medical professionals.

I had several mentors during my fellowship training at Ohio State who motivated me to pursue academic medicine. I witnessed the positive impact their care efforts had on the community, and the amazing strides they were making in research, and I was inspired to continue that tradition. I am part of separate groups centered on mentorship and I have helped train many medical students and residents within the GI specialty.

My research is focused on colorectal cancer and obesity. I have participated in many community outreach events centered around colorectal cancer in the city of Columbus and the surrounding region. My research interests also include diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my wife, family, friends and church community. I also enjoy exploring Columbus and experiencing new things.
