About Me
As a cardiologist who specializes in pulmonary hypertension, I’m committed to making sure our treatment plans focus on each patient’s unique needs and goals.
Pulmonary hypertension is a complex disease with a variety of causes in which the pressures in the arteries of the lungs are higher than normal. These high pressures can cause patients to feel short of breath and, in some cases, cause the right side of the heart to weaken.
I’m dedicated to increasing the awareness of the need to screen patients for this condition, and I believe that each patient with possible pulmonary hypertension should receive a thoughtful evaluation by a caring, experienced specialist.
Over the course of my 18 years as a doctor and researcher focused on pulmonary hypertension, I’ve studied the use of exercise testing to improve our ability to find this condition, and I’ve worked to identify the causes of some forms of pulmonary hypertension to help uncover new treatment options.
As the director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I have the honor of bringing together talented health care providers and researchers from many different backgrounds with one common goal: improving the lives of people with pulmonary hypertension.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy watching my son play hockey.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Good
Dr Visovatti is #1 in his field in my opinion, I feel very lucky to have him care for me.
He spend an unbelievable amount of time with me, was well versed on my background and medical history. Additionally, he made me feel confident that I was being seen by the very best possible physician for my particular issues and needs.
Very nice
Fabulous. Thorough with clear & precise explanations
Dr Visovatti was wonderful in answering questions about my medical condition and treatment recommendations.
Took as much time as possible to explain procedures and medications. And, in plain English!
He's always nice, friendly and caring. Always listen to all of my concerns.
No bad experiences. Always a good visit
Excellent! Best doctor I've ever had and I've seen many. Wish there were more like him.

Excellent took his time, well informed of my complicated medical history
He knew my history without having to refer to my record. Obviously, he had prepared for my appointment thus saving us both time and making me feel I was more than just an unidentifiable patient.
Always one call away, always willing to tell a get any information you need !!!!!
Very good.
Peaceful when he enters the room, unhurried during my appointment, listens toy concerns and questions, explains what's going on with my heart.
I have met with 2 PCP, 4 ER a physicians, 2 hematologists but Dr. Visovatti was the most knowledgeable and actually explained my pulmonary embolism.
All good
Dr. Visovatti listened & explained. This was my 1st visit - I received excellent care & will continue to see him as my cardiologist. I would definitely refer him to my family & friends. He is awesome!
He asked me lots of questions to get to know mw and my condition
Very caring, took his time & explained thoroughly.
The best. Very happy with how I was talked to and treated. Wonderful provider!
Dr Visovatti did a great job interacting with me, describing what may be the cause of my problem, and scheduling a new test to help determine the cause of the problem. He was very professional, approachable, obviously knowledgeable, and interested in my overall health. My interaction with him was top-notch in every respect.
Good.
Excellent! I was nervous as I have to see a cardiologist annually due to my diagnosis. I had seen Dr.Benza in the past whom I really liked but was sent a letter saying he had left OSU, so was scheduled with Dr.Visovatti which made me nervous to have to switch doctors. However, from the minute Dr. Visovatti walked through the door I was very Impressed. I have to say he is the most kind, caring and compassionate physician I have ever seen. I pray he doesn't leave OSU as he is certainly an asset to your facility.
Provider was very knowledgeable
Professional
Excellent caring Service
All good!
