About Me
I chose to specialize in mental and behavioral health because I am passionate about helping my patients achieve outcomes that improve their quality of life. I am the lead psychiatrist for two inpatient units at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Harding Hospital, where I diagnose and treat adults for various conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, depression and delirium.
I always put my patients first. They can rely on me to listen to their concerns and know that I will customize the care to best suit their specific needs and goals. I use a variety of interventions including cognitive therapy and psychotherapy.
My experience has included working in community outpatient mental health centers, psychiatric crisis service units and inpatient private hospitals. It’s an honor to be back at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where I completed my residency. I enjoy helping to educate the next generation of physicians in my additional role as a clinical assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in the Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Nahar has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
