Dr Berger seems to be an excellent Dr. She seems to be rather "distant". This is fine, patients not there to find a friend but there to have a doc who will do her best to increase the health of the patient. I have a couple pressing health concerns outside Dr. Berger's specialty but I want her to do the best to see that I live long and healthy not fault me of not needing care bc of my age or other health concerns. Thank you.

Dr. Berger was very professional.
The NP had a great bedside manner and knew what I was talking about. She took notes and gave good recommendations. This was our first meeting and I felt comfortable.
I feel it was a good experience overall. In order to see a gastroenterologist, and after several appointment cancellations by the department, this was the best way to address questions about my health.

Dr. Berger can come across as a bit cold and lacking in concern. Of course, she's not required to, she's a perfectly competent doctor and if I was seeing patients all day I would lose patience for empathy pretty quick too, but it is noticeable.

Shira Berger, also just good things to say about her. She is the one that ordered the right tests and then I was finally diagnosed correctly. My Primary Care Doctor, did not know what was wrong with me after some tests and I asked her to refer me to OSU gastroenterology, which she did.
She was knowledgeable about my history and showed concern for what I was going through.

My care provider was a very good experience.
Seems to have negative bias against people with mental illness. She's perfectly nice to your face, but reading her notes after the visit was over, I realized that she believes all my physical symptoms are due to mental health issues. It's like that's all she can see. Even in the face of positive test results, she swears up and down that I'm totally asymptomatic, and offers only antidepressants for treatment.
