I practice in gastroenterology, specializing in the treatment of pancreaticobiliary diseases. This includes performing advanced endoscopic procedures, such endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Treatment may include removing stones and relieving bile duct obstruction, or fine-needle aspiration of pancreatic tumors, evaluation of pancreatic cysts, nerve block for cancer-related pain and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) of large polyps or small tumors.

It's very satisfying to know that I can make a difference by conducting clinical research in addition to providing procedural expertise. My research focus is on diagnosis (including advanced imaging techniques) and management of pancreatic cystic lesions among other gastrointestinal diseases.

I am passionate about providing scientific-based, targeted treatment for all of my patients. These targeted treatments allow for fewer side effects and better outcomes.

My colleagues and the team of experts I work with are among the many things I enjoy about practicing medicine at Ohio State. I consider it a privilege to be part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as being a member of the excellent Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Department.

In my free time, I take time to relax with family, enjoy the outdoors or take in a movie. I also enjoy playing tennis.

Industry Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/25/2016, Dr. Krishna has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
