Biography

I am a clinical associate professor of Anesthesiology in the Division of Anesthesiology Critical Care (ACC) at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I joined the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center after completing my residency and a fellowship in Anesthesiology Critical Care at the Cleveland Clinic.

I have held multiple leadership roles, including being the director of the ACC Fellowship Program and being the medical director of the Ohio State Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation Program.

Since 2023, I have served as the medical director of the cardiovascular intensive care unit, as the co-area medical director for critical care services for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center University Hospital. I have also been the area medical director of quality for the Ohio State University Heart and Vascular Center since that time. In these roles, I partner with clinical and administrative leaders to advance quality, patient safety and collaboration across care teams.

As a critical care anesthesiologist and intensivist, I care for some of the most ill hospitalized patients, including those recovering from complex cardiac and oncologic surgery, thoracic and abdominal transplants and patients requiring temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support for end-stage cardiopulmonary failure.

My research and clinical interests include temporary mechanical support, cardiovascular critical care and mobility in the critically ill. I am recognized for my expertise, compassion and ability to lead interdisciplinary teams in managing critically ill patients.
