About Me

I am a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in general cardiology. My typical day involves seeing patients for a wide variety of cardiovascular issues including hypertension, hyperlipidemias, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and heart rhythm disorders, and I work closely with each patient’s primary cardiologist.

I pride myself on being an active listener and teacher, and always ensure patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options. I also empower my patients to be active participants in their care.

I was inspired to pursue cardiology while in nursing school, and I’ve had the opportunity to expand my knowledge and expertise in this specialty with over two decades in the field. My experience includes time spent focused on coronary care, heart failure and open-heart surgery, before transitioning to general cardiology. I am also an associate of the American College of Cardiology.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, three sons and our dog. My hobbies include reading, decorating, doing jigsaw puzzles and hiking. My family loves traveling and exploring new places.
