About Me

As a plastic surgeon at Ohio State, I specialize in general plastic surgery, including both reconstructive and aesthetic procedures. I’m specifically interested in developing plastic surgery opportunities among underserved populations, and am currently working to build international opportunities within the Department of Plastic Surgery for faculty and residents to serve and train with colleagues overseas.

I believe that medicine is a service-oriented profession with the unique opportunity to provide physical, emotional and spiritual healing. It’s truly a privilege to help patients through their healing process.

My favorite part about working here at Ohio State is the academic environment, as well as the opportunity to work with tremendous colleagues and residents who are committed to teaching, expanding the field of medicine and providing the best care possible to their patients.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/28/2017, Dr. Poteet has reported no financial relationships with medical device, research and/or drug companies.
