About Me

As a sports medicine physician, I provide evidence-based, individualized care and take the time to get to know my patients and their unique conditions. I have found that educating individuals on their course of treatment and building confidence in the patient-physician relationship leads to the best outcomes. Because I’ve experienced several injuries throughout my own sports career, I’m better able to relate to what my patients are going through. I love seeing people improve and return to the activities that they love.

I enjoy working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because of the special camaraderie that is shared among my colleagues. I also enjoy the opportunity to work with the next generation of physicians through various stages in the learning process.

In my free time I enjoy going to local sports events, concerts, the Columbus Zoo, local breweries, watching movies and spending time with my family and friends.

Dr. A. is very calm & explains things easily. Takes the time to talk to you as long as needed about all developments & questions before examining; only negative is he is sometimes hard to get a hold of on non-family medicine days.

The first time I had met this doctor..he was very professional and courteous. I feel the doctor needs to make better eye contact. I appreciate his advice and he was conservative in his approach to help me get better.

Dr Albrechta was relaxed and informative, I did not have the sense that he was rushed. He seems genuinely interested in providing good care. Also, he had a suggestion about how to find the best price for a prescription that is not covered by my insurance.
