About me

I specialize in emergency medicine. I have more than 30 years of clinical, educational and research experience in emergency medical care.

As chair of Emergency Medicine, I’m responsible for providing leadership for the department. I also want to continue to provide top-notch care for our patients, along with quality programs to educate and train our doctors.

What inspired me to study emergency medicine was that I wanted to improve emergency care for all patients. I also enjoy helping patients and teaching residents about emergency care.

When treating patients, I want to respond timely and thoughtfully. I’m most satisfied during my workday when I work effectively — getting the most out of each day.

In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing with my family, traveling, reading, attending Ohio State football games, the outdoors, movies and walking.

In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 03/28/2017, Dr. Terndrup has reported financial relationships with the medical device, research and/or drug companies listed below. If you have questions about the relationships listed below, please ask the faculty member.
