Biography
As a Certified Nurse Practitioner in the Podiatry Department, I specialize in diabetic foot exams as well as toenail trimming and callus debridement. I assist patients with general foot care and focus on preventative measures to reduce their risk for foot complications related to diabetes. Educating the patient is an important part of what I do as I have been a nurse for over 25 years. Empowering the patient to be an active part of their care is very important to me.
I can manage and treat foot issues such as Fungal toenails, Athletes foot, neuropathy and pre-ulcerative lesions. I can provide prescriptions for Diabetic shoes and custom orthotics and refer patients with more complicated issues such as foot wounds, deformities, infections, or significant pain to our team of Physicians.
I chose to come to Ohio State because of its excellent reputation and collaborative environment. I enjoy working with a great team of professionals dedicated to providing the best patient care at a medical center that offers an abundance of resources to make it all possible.
When I’m not working I love spending time with my husband, our two teenagers and friends. We enjoy traveling together and attending various sporting events.

My Staff made me late for a Friday appointment, but they were able to get me rescheduled for the next Monday, which was great. I am thankful.

Overall, liked her very much and was courteous and professional in regards to concerning questions I had with both of my feet at times during workouts, walking, standing or sitting, especially during the evening at bedtime when I'm sleeping, my feet I've noticed will stiffen up and lose feeling and I have to keep trying to move them around in order to feel some blood flow and feeling coming back. In talking with her it seems it may be more of a possible neurological issue within my feet especially being a Type 1 diabetic and she kindly was going to send a referral over to a neurologist for a checkup. She also discussed looking into alternative shoes for better arch support and look into maybe insoles to wear and to checkout a shoe fitness store called 'Fleet Feet' to see about getting free measurements for my feet and have them make some recommendations for shoes, insoles, etc, based on those measurements.
