Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 10/25/2021, Dr. Matkovic has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

Dr. Matkovic was a great resource for my concern.
Dr. Matkovic is brilliant!!! He is also very knowledgeable!!! I am very fortunate to be a patient of this fine doctor.
My dr. and I were discussing COVID and the conversation enabled me to tell him about my hemoglobin being too low to donate blood. That and some other information alerted him to the need for some blood tests. Because of that, it was discovered that I have monoclonal gammapathy (MGUS) which is usually discovered by chance. Although most people live out their lives with no problems, MGUS can lead to multiple myeloma or other cancers. Because I now know that I have MGUS, I will be getting regular check ups with a hematologist to catch any problems early. I will always be grateful for my doctor to catch any problems early. I will always be grateful for my doctor listening to me and ordering the needed blood work.
Friendliness.
Dr. Matkovic is a great listener. I am very fortunate to have him as my doctor. He is always looking for ways to manage my osteopenia, but in a conservative way.
