Biography
I am an internal medicine and pediatrics physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. I specialize in hospital medicine, providing comprehensive, compassionate and evidence-based care to all hospitalized children and adults. My goal is to help patients recover and heal through plans that are tailored to their individual needs.
I am board-certified in internal medicine, pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine, and I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians. I have served as the quality and patient safety lead for Cancer Medicine Services in the OSUCCC – James, and as an associate medical director for medical/surgical units at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center University Hospital.
I am also a clinical associate professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, helping educate medical students, physician residents and fellows. I am an associate program director for the combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency within The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I am also the director of the combined internal medicine and pediatrics track for fellows within Nationwide Children Hospital.
At the College of Medicine, I work with medical students as a faculty tutor, personal and professional development coach and applied health systems science coach.
I have been honored with several teaching awards, including Professor of the Year from the College of Medicine, Teacher of the Year from the Department of Internal Medicine and the Grant Morrow Excellence in Teaching Award from the Department of Pediatrics. Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Doraiswamy has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
