About Me
My practice in obstetrics and gynecology includes collaborating with a diverse group of professionals and roles. As a faculty member, I am an educator who teaches students, residents and other physicians from all over the country.
As an obstetrician and gynecologist, I meet and care for a variety of people. I like to engage my patients and educate them about their care. This helps them to better understand what is going on, including their treatment choices.
I have always joked that the longest I ever had to wait for something is nine months (pregnancy). However, I find myself taking a more holistic approach to my medical practice. I focus on long-term health outcomes because my goal is to have women live to the fullest of their capacity.
Many of the patients at Ohio State are educated and engaged in their own health care. This makes it enjoyable to discuss treatment options with them and make good healthcare decisions.
After hours, I stay involved and active with my family. We especially enjoy visiting new places.

They did a focused job and did great!
Good.
knowledgeable but didn't talk through what was happening during the exam which would have been nice since it was my first time.
My visits with Dr. Trout are always a positive. He's a great listener.
Wayne trout was fine. he's not super warm and friendly. and when I can't have my support person with me, it makes it harder when the doctor isn't super engaging.
Dr. Trout has gone above and beyond for me over the last several months with my health concerns.
Dr. Trout is very professional. He is very knowledgeable, honest. On time and supportive of any question or concerns you may have. He has made my first pregnancy a great experience.
Dr. Trout has terrible "bedside manners". This was my first ultrasound (first pregnancy) so I had no idea what was going on. He barely spoke, did not explain anything, didn't even provide a verbal cue before he stuck the instrument inside my vagina!! Very awkward & uncomfortable. I wish the female nurse had stayed in the room. Hoping I do not have to see him again!
Very nice and caring .
