About Me
I practice noninvasive cardiology, including cardiac echo and nuclear cardiology, as well as peripheral vascular diagnostic testing. I also enjoy consulting with colleagues on patient cases in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Working in academia has given me the unique opportunity to involve mentoring and research in my career. As a subinvestigator on a number of clinical research studies, my research results have been published in medical journals such as Circulation Research. In addition, I’'m an assistant professor of clinical medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and educate students with practical instruction to better prepare them for careers in medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. A good experience!
Dr. Houser was amazing. He knew my health history MUCH better than any other specialist I've been to. I'm used to my primary care doctor who (while wonderful) does not care for questions and always has one foot pointed at the door. Dr. Houser actually had his BACK to the door and faced me completely. He was kind and patient with all of my questions, plus explained results of tests ordered by my PCP better than they were initially explained to me! I left so relieved feeling like finally somebody LISTENED to me.
