About Me

At the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, I started out as an optometrist, providing general eye care for more than 34 years, and was the first optometrist here to become an associate professor of clinical ophthalmology. I'm very proud to have taught ophthalmology residents, fellows, and medical students for many years and hopefully more to come. Academia and teaching has kept me up-to-date in the ever-changing field of elite eye care.

While being highly nearsighted myself, I have always had a passion for contact lenses. I completed advanced training with a contact lens residency at Ohio State in 1986 while also earning a post-doctorate master's degree. I specialize in contact lenses and sports vision at Ohio State, where I have the pleasure of almost exclusively providing vision diagnosis and treatment to our university's athletes since 1989.
