A nurse practitioner is extensively trained to treat illness or disease and to prescribe medication to their patients. They work on teams with a licensed physician, but can treat patients with significant autonomy. Nurse practitioners work in a variety of settings, including primary care and various other medical and surgical specialties.

Zachary was fantastic. He answered all of our questions, exhibited genuine concern, offered us options for treatment, spoke to my son directly abouy his care (instead of over him to me, which tends to happen when you have kids on the spectrum). I will be scheduling all my kids with him.

Seemed rushed and not very people-person
He's good. My only concern is that he seems to want to write referrals for most things and doesn't try and treat them himself first. Obviously, large things should be referred out but it seems like placing referrals for everything isn't necessary.
Zachary does a good job of managing my chronic condition, providing me with the education I need to make informed decisions but allowing the decisions I make regarding my healthcare to ultimately be up to me.

The provider was a good listener.
Zach was a little dismissive about my appointment/concerns. My regular provider was out of the office and he expressed that I was being seen as an acute visit and only the acute issue would be addressed as he is not my regular provider. I found this frustrating. I felt he did not feel my appointment was necessary to address the problems I was experiencing. However, he did get me moving in the right direction to get the care I need.

The care provider was amazingly attentive and had great medical attentiveness and expertise and was compassionate in explaining the layout of the appointment and the plan.
Provider kept bringing up respiratory infection, when I came in for and only discussed G I issue. I've had zero recent respiratory issues.
