I'm a diagnostic abdominal radiologist with special interest in hepato-biliary and pancreatic diseases. My area of expertise is in benign and malignant pancreatic diseases, and I have done clinical research to develop reporting standards for chronic pancreatitis based on imaging. I'm part of a multidisciplinary team of specialists for diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer. I'm also a member of the Disease Focused Panel of the Society of Abdominal Imaging for Pancreatic Cancer.
I have another interest in functional imaging of the liver and quantification of fat, iron and fibrosis in the liver tissue. This is specifically geared towards detection by novel MRI techniques, and I have been instrumental in making these techniques available at Ohio State to serve the patient population of central Ohio. I'm also interested in a MR Elastography, a novel technique used as an imaging marker for detection of fibrosis in the liver tissue and is also being utilized for assessment of the stiffness of the pancreas in patients with chronic pancreatitis.
I'm a member of the Women in Medicine and Science committee at the College of Medicine, and I'm passionate about diversity in the workplace, gender parity and in bringing more women into radiology.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
