Biography
As a rheumatologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I am passionate about providing the best care possible to each person who comes to see me. I specialize in treating patients for conditions including psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis, gout, Sjögren’s syndrome and osteoporosis. I am proud to serve as a leader in our mission to offer optimal care in my role as co-director of the Multidisciplinary Psoriatic Arthritis Clinic.
I prioritize education and always ensure my patients thoroughly understand their diagnosis and all treatment options. I am also honored to have been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for the past 10 years in a row (2015-2024) and named to the Castle Connolly Exceptional Women in Medicine list.

Academics and research
In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved in research efforts. My current projects include clinical trials of novel therapeutics to treat psoriatic arthritis, gout and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
My role includes helping to train the next generation of physicians. I work with medical students, residents and fellows in the clinic.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

She always has a smile & goes into depth on my questions.
She did a thorough exam of my joints then discussed medication changes. I liked the way she included me in all her decisions.
She is very friendly. When we talk about what I'm there for she will look back in my file a little ways to maybe connect with something. She will always ask about my family. I think she is very thorough even in other parts of my body that aren't affected by thus like my back. She understands what they are doing to me.
She was also perfectly fine. I learned a few things with the visit

Good conversation about supplements for my medical condition.
I am so glad Dr. M. Explained my condition and what might help. I am only now understanding that my pain is mostly due to orthopedic arthritis and not psoriatic.
I thought she quickly recommended a common treatment for my osteoporosis condition before discussing alternative treatments. I did my own research on nutrition and proper exercising, plus research on the current drug I'm taking. She did however listen to my preferences and suggested course of action for a period of time even though it was not her preference.
