Job Fair

Pop-up event: Burn boot camp with Danielle Segelhorst
Mondays, August 5 & August 19: 6:30–7:30 p.m. in Room 155
Burn boot camp offers 45-minute workouts designed to keep you moving the entire time. The workouts are appropriate for all fitness levels, ages, shapes, sizes and experience levels.

Join Julialynne Walker, Certified Farmers Market Manager of Bronzeville Growers Market, for a culinary trip through Africa, the Caribbean and North America that explores similarities in dishes, plants and cooking techniques.
In this 6-week, hands-on cooking class series, participants will be exposed to plants that are the basis of key dishes in West, East and Southern Africa, as well as across the Atlantic in the Caribbean and North America. Together we will prepare tasting menus based on a primary dish, a drink and a dessert.
Join Chef Laura in the demonstration kitchen on Fridays for a cooking demonstration and nutrition discussion. Classes will focus on how to reduce our risk of diet-related disease through healthier eating habits and lifestyle choices.

Fitness Classes
A soul-nourishing exploration of movement, breath, and introspection that blends flowing asanas, mindful breathwork and moments of stillness.

A hot, heated and core-focused pilates class that will leave you feeling strong, centered and balanced. This slow-flow class will help you connect your mind and body, while targeting and toning your core muscles. Get ready to sweat, strengthen, and find your inner peace.
NO CLASS ON July 24
This fun, fast-paced workout incorporates drumming and cardio to the rhythm of the music. It’s a low-impact workout for all ages and fitness levels. You’ll use drumsticks and an exercise ball to follow the rhythm of the music. This calorie burning class increases heart rate, enhances rhythm, strengthens the upper body and expands motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Get ready to turn up the heat in this 60-minutes Pilates class, where you’ll feel the burn and break a sweat. Bring a towel and get ready to sculpt and strengthen your body in a whole new way. Join us for Thursday Sweaty Pilates and feel the burn!
This yoga class offers a mixture of meditation, breath-work and energizing movement. Gentler movements will be used to warm up, then we’ll move to progressively challenging flowing sequences. These may include standing poses, balances, inversions and peak poses. The classes tend to end with slower, deeper stretches, and often floor-based asana practice.
Join our vibrant R&B line dancing community! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, we’ve got something for you. Our classes are set to soulful R&B, hip-hop, oldies and pop music, creating a fun and energetic atmosphere.
Wellness Wednesdays

We aim to break down social and cultural taboos associated with sexuality and promote positive sexual health. We partner with Central Outreach and Columbus Public Health to provide free testing and sexual health education.
Senior Classes
Learn about protecting our personal information and how to avoid becoming a victim of fraud. Taught by Loretta Sweeney, Ohio State Extension Educator.
This education program from the Alzheimer’s Association will help you recognize common signs of the disease in yourself and others and next steps to take, including how to talk to your doctor. Taught by Jenny Lobb, Registered Dietitian and Ohio State Extension Educator.
Learn the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, stages of the disease, risk factors, research, and treatments relating to these diseases. Resources from the Alzheimer’s Association will be shared. Taught by Jenny Lobb, Registered Dietitian and Ohio State Extension Educator.
This class will provide an overview of arthritis and how lifestyle decisions may make living with arthritis easier. Taught by Loretta Sweeney, Ohio State Extension Educator.
Healthy Families
Moms2B is a weekly prenatal education program in partnership with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. You will have the chance to learn how to have a healthy baby and pregnancy, talk with health care professionals and make new friends. Walk-ins are welcome.
