About Me

I originally trained as a family medicine physician because I enjoy all aspects of working with people. After practicing primary care for several years, I became more interested in how diet and lifestyle impact health and quality of life. One of the most rewarding aspects of what I do is help people understand how impactful diet and lifestyle changes are in not only reducing many symptoms, but also in helping overall health, energy, weight management and resiliency.

I also provide consultations for pain management and care coordination within our center and have a particular interest in stress management.
Over the last two years, I’ve developed a strong interest in integrative oncology. This is the use of diet and lifestyle modifications along with mind-body practices to optimize health and support conventional oncology treatments and their side effects.

I enjoy working at the Ohio State Center for Integrative Medicine because of the unique, talented team I get to work with in this growing area of medicine. I’ve been involved in integrative medicine since 2004 and it’s very exciting to see the continued growth and support we have here at Ohio State.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, practicing yoga and meditation, gardening, swimming, hiking and birding, paddle boarding and exploring new healthy recipes.

Dr. Giles listened and recorded all of my concerns. She spent more time with me in one visit than my regular GP spent with me in a year's worth of visits!

I have absolutely no complaints. Great information, thorough, not rushed. She is well informed. I started a holistic health practice she recommended and it helped with my sleep.

Very nice, listened to me and gave me lots of very good information and recommendations

Attentive, took the time I needed for really understanding me as I tried to be accurate in communicating my history (which is long however efficient I try to be). Really wanted to help, and to provide possibilities and potential therapies and consults that are rare in this system yet have evidence behind them.

Dr. Giles was AWESOME! She asked many many concise questions, listened carefully, and gave wonderful information and advise. She has referred me to some other members of the Integrated Services team. I look forward to working with all of the members of the team.
